Atlantic Rehab Physiotherapy Clinic first opened its doors in Saint John, NB in 2003. It is owned and operated by Achim and Carolyn Khitab, both licensed physiotherapists with over 25 years experience. In 2006, Atlantic Rehab Physiotherapy St. George opened.
Achim graduated from UNB in 1989 with a degree in physical education and then went on to Dalhousie University to graduate from physiotherapy in 1993. He began his career at Extramural Hospital in Saint John and then went on to work at the Workers Rehab Centre in Grand Bay, NB for the next 10 years.He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his current Clinics in both Saint John and St. George. He currently resides in West Saint John with his wife Carolyn and their 3 children. In his spare time, he can be found on the squash court, hiking or at the gym.
A lifelong West Saint John resident, Carolyn graduated from physiotherapy at McGill University in 1993. She began her career at the Saint John Regional Hospital and had worked in private practice before deciding to open her own. Carolyn has a special interest in working with the senior population and has taken several acupuncture courses, achieving her CAFCI Level 1 designation. She has also done extensive work with cancer patients and has helped to develop and run the Stay Strong Cancer Rehab Program in conjunction with the YMCA. She currently works with this program on Thursdays each week. In her spare time (when not at the rink or soccer field with her children!), she enjoys running and has completed many half and 6 full marathons and including the 2018 Boston marathon.
